BREAKING: Nye County crews are battling a trailer fire that broke out just before noon today on North Pearl Lane near West Mesquite Avenue.

This video, taken Monday night at Petrack Park by reporter Robin Hebrock, shows just a fraction of the incredible grand finale of the town of Pahrump's 50th Annual Fireworks Show, put on by Zambelli Fireworks pyrotechnicians. A crowd of thousands gathered at and around the park to enjoy a more than 22-minute show. The raucous cheering evidenced the fact that attendees reveled in every minute of it. Readers can look for photographs and coverage of the event in Wednesday's Pahrump Valley Times.

POWWOW - The Pahrump Intertribal Social Powwow took place this past weekend at Petrack Park, with members of Native American tribes from all over the country coming to the valley to share their culture. This video shows a portion of the Grand Entry on Saturday, Nov. 20 with event master of ceremonies Michael Reifel explaining the significance of the song being played. 9/11 MEMORIAL CEREMONY - The Rotary Club of the Pahrump Valley hosted its annual 9/11 Memorial Ceremony this morning at the First Responders Reflection Area, which was established by the club in 2016. This video offers snippet from the event, featuring Rotarian and event co-chair Phyllis Howell performing the solemn ceremony of ringing a bell and holding a moment of silence at the same time that the first highjacked plane crashed into the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. A variety of guest speakers were included in the event program and more moments of silence held, honoring all those who perished in the 9/11 attacks. VIDEO by reporter Robin Hebrock.
