CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING FATAL SHOOTING REMAIN UNDER INVESTIGATION

: (MAY 15, 2026)

The deceased has been identified as 21-year-old Kaylie Logston.

While detectives were conducting their investigation into Logston’s shooting, they were notified that a male subject who was in a relationship with Logston was being treated at an area hospital for a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Those injuries were sustained during an incident that occurred in the 10000 block of Wincopin Circle, 21044. This investigation remains active. At this time, detectives are not seeking any additional suspects.

NEWS RELEASE: (May 14, 2026)

Homicide detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal shooting that occurred today at approximately 3 p.m. in the unit block of Hillside Road, 21228.

Officers responded to the scene following reports of a shooting. When officers arrived at the home they located an adult female deceased inside the residence with an apparent gunshot wound. While this remains an active and ongoing investigation, detectives do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the community at this time.

INFO NEEDED ON FATAL HIT AND RUN. Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team continue to investigate a fatal hit-and-run pedestrian crash that occurred on Sunday, Feb. 15, at approximately 7:45 p.m., at the intersection of Security Boulevard and Gwynn Oak Avenue. The suspect vehicle is a silver/gray sedan with front-end damage consistent with striking a pedestrian. Anyone with information about this crash or the suspect vehicle is asked to contact 410-887-4636.

From the Baltimore County Police Department. If you see a school bus - stopped - with its red lights flashing 🚌 and stop sign arm extended 📣, motorists are expected to STOP at least 20 feet away.
