Join the MacPhail Center for Music as they host their Family Free Series this Saturday at 10am in Antonello Hall. The show will showcase a variety of upbeat percussion pieces sure to excite young children to make music and move around.

Each child can make their own instrument and bring it to the show! On the way out they will receive a grab bag.

Mary West Solo Competition Winners Recital, Sunday November 14, 7:00pm @ Lloyd Ultan Hall

Congratulations to the Winners of the Mary West Solo Competition, as well as the Finalists, Honorable Mentions, and all others who participated. This competition is a staple of the Minnesota String community and Claire Givens Violins is proud to support the participants by providing the grand prize plus other prizes for the Intermediate, Junior, and Senior Divisions.

We are happy to say that many of the finalists are playing on instruments or bows purchased from Givens Violins, and we could not be more proud of the beautiful sound these players are able to create.

If you would like to support these fabulous young artists, the Winners Recital is this Sunday, November 14th 7:00pm at Lloyd Ultan Hall on the University of Minnesota-Minneapolis campus.
