News: https://mycentralfloridafamily.com/category/latest-news/ My Central Florida Family .com was created by a two Central Florida moms looking to help other Orlando-area families with finding events and opportunities

in Orlando, Florida. But, we also look for the smallest events such as local community markets, concerts, and events or library events or food truck events. No matter whether it's big or small, we will share it on our Daily Calendar of Events. We look forward events all over Central Florida to share with you! Also, we're on the lookout for the latest news and opportunities for your family. We will update our Latest News on our website to share upcoming ideas on how you can make the most on living in Central Florida. Whether it's events, family fun, education, and more, we will share it with you when we find it! Next, we create Family Guides where you can click once and find information on things like Parks and Playgrounds, Chick fil A events, seasonal events, what's coming up next month, and more. We put together library event information, public school calendar guides, and more. Check it out on our website's home page! Finally, we produce the Florida Kids and Family Expo! Each August, you can come out (in person) and meet with companies, schools, products, services, and so much more. Find opportunties for fun and growth at this annual epic expo. No matter how you utilize our tools, we hope we are able to make your life as a parent, grandparent, or caregiver just a little bit easier in Central Florida. Meet Brandi:

Brandi moved to Central Florida from Jacksonville, where she was born, in 1976. Living in Seminole County, and attending Seminole County Public Schools, she was the child of a teacher and marketing administrator. Her mother worked for Walt Disney World, a local cable network and AT&T. Her father was a school teacher in Orange and Seminole counties. In 1995, after graduating from the University of Central Florida (Go Knights!), Brandi herself became an elementary school teacher for 7 years. Why did she stop teaching? In 2002, she became a mother, a role that changed her life forever. You can understand that claim, I'm sure. While she was a "stay at home" mom, she started and operated a wedding planning company where she began producing the largest wedding/bridal shows in Central Florida. She sold that company and went to work for a local wedding magazine under a national brand. She began producing wedding shows and producing wedding publications throughout the country. Again, in 2010, she welcomed a second child. In 2012, she went through treatment for breast cancer (yes, the whole experience). In 2014, she decided she needed to slow down as she was traveling across the country and working her fingers to the bone. In July 2019, she'll celebrate 25 years of marriage. And, as a family, she and her husband were always looking for opportunities, fun and resources for her family in her own backyard. She always failed to find the information she sought. So, in 2014, she and Jo started MyCentralFloridaFamily.com and the Florida Kids and Family Expo. This year, they celebrate the 5th Annual expo and they couldn't be more grateful! This event and website were created to help families like theirs that were always looking for ideas like theirs. Since then, more similar sites began to pop up, but they stay steadfast in providing an enrichment of daily events, news, and more to keep families connected and informed. Brandi focuses on the site functionality, newsfeed blogs, and production and marketing for the Florida Kids and Family Expo. She loves feeling like she's helping others every single day. Meet Jo:

Jo moved to Central Florida in the summer of 1968. She celebrated her 50th anniversary of being a Central Florida resident this year and has witnessed all of the changes in our community for half a century. Am I making her sound too old? We like to think of her as seasoned! She had her first and only child in 1974. Like us, but back in the 20th century, she was constantly looking for things to do with her family. But, the internet wasn't an option, so she improvised and did what she could for family fun! Opening the Walt Disney World Resort as a cast member, she watched the changes that came over Central Florida for decades. She went to work for Cablevision (now Spectrum after many transitions) and eventually Bellsouth which turned into AT&T. She retired from full time work in 2015, just 2 weeks before the first Florida Kids and Family Expo. In 2002, she became a grandmother, and again in 2010. She lives with her daughter, son-in-law and grandkids. She, too, is constantly looking for things to do with her grandkids and understands the challenge other grandparents, that are heavily involved with their grandkids, have. After owning and operating a wedding planning company with Brandi from 2000-2007, it was natural for them to partner again on a service that assists families. Jo works on the calendars, customer service, and production of the Florida Kids and Family Expo. Jo says working on MyCentralFloridaFamily.com and the Florida Kids and Family Expo brings her fulfillment in her retirement years, knowing she's helping kids out there find the fun in Central Florida.

Our Story

My Central Florida Family .com was created by a Central Florida mom that has been an Orlando resident for 45 years and a mom for 17 years. As both a stay at home mom and a working mother, she was tired of never knowing what Orlando kids events were happening for her family. Hearing about events and opportunities, only after they were over, was what fueled her to leave the business world and create a site that would help more families like hers. Coupled with the Florida Kids and Family Expo, also produced by this mom and her team of other Central Florida moms, this team works hard every day to bring you opportunities to save money, make memories, and take advantage of all that Central Florida has to offer your kids and family too. If you’ve found that we’ve missed any Orlando Kids Events, feel free to contact us at [email protected]. Thank you for browsing our site. Be sure to like us on Facebook or join our chatroom! There are so many things to do in Central Florida from fairs and festivals to daily entertainment to library story times, outdoor playgrounds, indoor playgrounds, kids theaters, day trips, and so much more. No matter what you choose to do, My Central Florida Family hopes that we can help you stay informed, plan it all and help make more memories for your family in your community. Don’t forget to check back often for updates and new information on Orlando Kids Events as we keep our site updated daily. From news to features and our daily calendar, we will continue to work every day to help your family discover more opportunities. And, if you’re planning a birthday party, looking for a doctor, wanting to put your kids into a sport, don’t forget to check out our Business Directory, full of businesses and organizations to fill your needs! Use our red tool bar above to navigate our site. Here’s what you need to know: We create seasonal and informational guides for families, including our guides for Fall, Winter, Holiday, Spring, Summer, Summer Camp, Kids Eat Free, Day Vacations, and so much more. You can check out our latest guide(s) below or look in our menu bar above under Features, News or Things to Do for some of our guides. We have a Daily Calendar of Events where you can find activities, events and opportunities for kids and families throughout Central Florida. Don’t know what to do today or this weekend with the kids? Check out our Daily Calendar any day or time of the week! In our News Section, you will find articles about upcoming events that we thought might be of interest to you. Now, we can’t cover it all in our news feed, but between the feed and the calendar, you shouldn’t run out of possibilities! Looking for things to do in November, just check the Save the Date tab under our News section for things happening in November. Looking for Free and Cheap events or ideas, check out the Free and Cheap tab. We work to categorize our News Feed to make it easier for you to find things. Are you looking for something specific? Find the search bar in brown at the top right section of our site and type in what you’re looking for. If we have it, it should pop up there for you. It won’t search the calendar, but it will search the rest of our site. We also have a menu item for the Florida Kids and Family Expo with tabs to purchase tickets, for family information and for information for businesses and organizations that would like to exhibit with us. This is our favorite event of the year and we hope you’ll take a moment to check it out! If you own a family friendly business and you would like to advertise with us, there is an Advertise tab with more information on our ad options. Feel free to contact us anytime with questions. That’s it. We hope it’s a pretty easy site to navigate. Below, you’ll find some of our most recent News Feed articles to peruse. Or simply head to our Things to Do or News Feed buttons for more information and ideas. No matter how you use our site, we thank you for using it. From My Central Florida Family to yours…enjoy your day.
