I attended an awesome event on the Plaza last evening. It’s called “Circle of Lights”, a remembrance and memorial event, remembering those who have gone before us. This is an annual event from Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care held the Tuesday before Memorial Day every year at Mill Creek Park on the Plaza. You can register for a luminary, then light it at the event in memory of the person you are honoring. The turnout was fantastic, I estimated about 650 people in attendance with nearly 1000 luminaries lit. They had dedications, music, readings, live art, and bagpipes. The event was done so well, so tasteful, everyone was deeply moved, it was just a fantastic event. Well done Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care!
