𝐋𝐞𝐢𝐩𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐭. 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐡𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐞 𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐬

This year, St. Mary Church in Leipsic is teaming up with the Christmas Angel Program and is gathering wrapping paper, children's items, and other needed items for hurricane victims in Buncombe County North Carolina.

The following are the most requested toy/gift donations alongside other wishlist suggestions:

For all ages

· Coloring books and crayons / markers/ colored pencils

· Board games and puzzles

· Sports balls (basketballs, soccer balls, footballs)

· Scooters / skateboards and helmets

· LEGOs and LEGO Friends sets

· Camping and Fishing Gear

Babies and Toddlers, ages 0-4

· Light up/ electronic toys

· Educational toys

Children, Ages 4-11

· Barbie and baby dolls

· DIY activity kits (jewelry, science, slime, etc.)

· RC vehicles and drones

Tweens and Teens

· Instant cameras and film

· Wireless audio (earbuds, headphones, speakers)

· Bath and body care kits (soap, lotion, body spray / deodorant)

· Jewely and accessories (purses, wallets, backpacks)

Wishlist suggestions in response to Hurricane Helene’s destruction/displacements

· Backpacks and lunch boxes

· Water bottles and travel mugs

· Flashlights

· Walkie / talkies

· Comfy blankets (teens)

· Children’s tents and sleeping bags

Donated items can be dropped off by December 8 at several sites; items can be dropped off at the Leipsic St. Mary Office and Gymnasium, which is the main hub. The following are other places that are also collecting items for the Christmas Angel Program:

St. Michael Catholic Church, Kalida

Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Ottoville,

St. Joseph Catholic Church, Fort Jennings,

Knueven Creamery, Gilboa

Signature Look Boutique, Ottawa

Always Blessed, Ottawa.

On December 12, volunteers from Leipsic, St. Mary will haul the donated items to Ashevile, N.C. If anyone has questions they can call Fr. Randy at 419-943-2688.

PANDORA – High School art students at Pandora-Gilboa had the opportunity this year to learn history in a special way and also to honor area veterans.Early in the school year, ten veterans came to the school to sit down with groups of art students.

With updates made to the Putnam County Sentinel website, subscribers who visit https://www.putnamsentinel.com/ as of Monday, November 18th will have to change their password to access content included in their subscription. The paywall will be active on Tuesday, November 19th.

All active, online subscribers will automatically get an email from The Putnam County Sentinel and parent company CherryRoad Media with a link and instructions on how to do so. The email will also have contact information for tech support in case you run into any issues.
