Meet SOPHIE, the sweet pooch who inspired the "Thirsty Puppy" devo in MY TENDER HEART DEVOTIONS (Paraclete Press). Here she is on our snow-dusted stroll this morning. Sophie turns 15 next month and isn't quite as spry as she once was, but one thing hasn't changed. The moment we step back inside, what does she do? She runs like like a whirlwind, practically leaping through the air, straight for her water bowl! Her eagerness to quench her thirst after walking or playing inspired the poem "Thirsty Puppy" that is the opening spark to the devo from MY TENDER HEART DEVOTIONS about the day Jesus met the woman at the well and told her that he could give her water that would ensure she would never be thirsty again!
