For consecutively two weeks, Haitians were on the front pages of every major newspaper and television station in the United States.

This time it's because Donald Trump, after meeting Kamala Harris in a debate and immediately afterward during one of his election campaigns, declared that he would expel all Haitians from the city of Springfield, Ohio-if re-elected.

They make fun of us. They give us all names (bullying).
But we still react almost always the same way.
It is time to look at our responses, understand our enemies, and react differently.

Can we put our emotions/feelings aside to find smart and strategic answers to our problems?

This question requires another dimension in our reflection and a transcendence of ourselves.

Cette fois, c'est parce que Donald Trump, après avoir rencontré Kamala Harris lors d'un débat et immédiatement après lors d'une de ses campagnes électorales, a déclaré qu'il expulserait tous les Haïtiens de la ville de Springfield, Ohio, s'il est ré -élu.

Haitians are used to insults. From HIV/AIDS in the 1980s to pet eating in 2024, nothing seems to be able to stop this situation.

The 2024 Olympics are over. Sports fans had a blast.

Young athletes who have not won a gold medal will work on their craft to improve in preparation for LA 2028.

Gold medals are for the best, not for the mediocre, nor for the amateurs!

But beyond sports, certain political lessons can be learned from the Olympic Games, such as political stability, transparency of public service, national pride, and the prestige of winning a gold medal.

A country must win, not just show up to show up to a game/Olympics/World Cup, etc....

Finally, although the athletes come from different teams nationally and are sometimes rivals, when it comes to defending their country internationally; they become ONE.
Haitians have a lot to learn in this regard...
