Beats and basslines served up with a smile. Chris Greens A.K.A. Antipop is a DJ that hails from the east coast of sunny central Florida.

Starting off in
the early 90’s mixing hiphop and breakbeat he was djing at house parties and clubs close to home. It
was the discovery of Drum and Bass and tearout style breaks that set him apart in the years to follow. Focusing intensely on the heavier breaks and basses landing bookings all over the US and even a few in
Europe. In 2010 he took the name Antipop and switched the focus back Drum and

Bass. A few years
later after linking up with the legendary Orlando based Torque Crew, Chris finds himself a home as one
of the official eight members of the crew. Antipop continues to bring the heavy sound of neurofunk
reminiscent of techstep days of drum and bass.

I never post to stir s**t up, that's not what this is about it is mainly just to clear my head. Without going too far into a rant, here's my questions. Where is the accountability from the persons in control? Who let her up there assuming she could handle it or even knew what she was doing outside her safe little lane? How did we let this happen? How did the imposters infiltrate? I kind of feel bad for the patrons who paid for an experience but then again they are the ones that created the demand and then turned over control to the corporate structure. The whole thing is sad and embarrassing. Ok, rant over and I will leave on a positive note for the sake of balance. Big ups love and respect to the real ones, the soldiers, the down since day ones, the cultivators and protectors of the culture.

Everyone has that one email address that is just junk right? You gave it out knowing you didn't want to see what that person was going to send. Now it's filled with CVS coupons for shampoo and "great deals" from eBay motors. Well after being 65k deep in unread I have finally hit the 10k mark OCD is no joke. A few weeks back my good friend Brian asked me to come and play a set on a Sunday in March. Of course I said yes but then offered in that it would be cool to do an all vinyl set. Now don't get me wrong I'm not one those "I only play vinyl" purists, far from it, but digging through the wax this morning I came to realize something. I miss the days of getting records together before a show. Loading up the crates or bags with what you could manage to carry and brining only what you might expect to play. I play my records often enough and enjoy them when I do but there was just something nostalgic and charming about putting a set together this morning. Anyway have a good day everyone.
