SCORE COLLECTION: CRC Music International’s Christopher Robinson took home the winning OIF award for his over 100 piece orchestrations and colorful arrangements in the six time winning musical short film “Life is Torture” written by Tracey Jane (‘A Halloween Carol’, ‘Lady of the Keys’) who also won for Best Director 🎉

Audiences were dazzled by the massive sounding score. The premiere screening was also a surprise moment for the cast and crew being their first time hearing the orchestral elements fused into the final product. ✨

The film premiered at the AMC theater (Altamonte Springs, FL) featuring an ever flowing showcase of inspirational short films in various categories. The annual event is part of the Organization of Independent Filmmakers allowing passionate creatives to share their art with fellow likeminded filmmakers.

CRC Music International’s Chris Robinson will have the honor of being one of the one hundred playwrights selected by the Roof Top Writers Initiative to attend a special performance of Sondheim and Furth’s Broadway revival “Merrily We Roll Along,” which includes a talk-back with the cast!

Robinson wrote and directed his first play in fifth grade, leading to writing his first musical in sixth grade that received mini workshops at two junior high schools in Louisiana prior to being accepted into the New Orleans Creative Arts Academy. His first full-length musical continues in development since its series of workshops in 2018.

Additionally, Robinson has helped other theatre/film writers and schools of various grade levels bring their original works to life primarily through music arrangements, songwriting, and orchestrations or reimagined works of Broadway composers. This also includes having worked with the Dramatists Guild of New York as a script reviewer for a series of musical theatre works from passionate writers of various ages, inspiring playwrights of the next generation!

Our very own Christopher Robinson has been part of the new children’s series (“Mishaps with Mark”) as a songwriter since being brought on to further develop the work during his time as a student at Full Sail University. We look forward to bringing the Mishaps to more young audiences soon! 🎭

ORIGINAL MUSICALS COLLECTION: Another opening, another show! Watch another “Behind The Music” segment featuring orchestrator/arranger Christopher Robinson on the creative process for the new musical parody SCREAM G**S at Orlando Fringe !

We are happy to have worked with the Orlando Artist Guild and the writers for yet another new musical parody with Book and additional Lyrics by Bryan Jager, Music & Lyrics by Alex Syiek.

The world premiere performance plays at the Orlando Shakespeare Theatre (Orange Venue - 6:00 pm) part of the annual Orlando Fringe Theatre Fringe Festival!
