Civale was pitching when we went to visit Progressive Field. Kinda funny that he had a season-high in strikeouts when two fans were in attendance, and now he's a Tampa Bay Ray.

Interesting decision. Basically means they have to sell their farm to get MLB ready guys to make an attempt at a World Series run this year. Otherwise you will have literally nothing to show for the years the best player in baseball history was in your organization. Because there is no chance he re-signs with the Angels.

To their credit, they went out and got Giolito and Reynaldo Lopez, but gave up their #2 and #3 prospects to get them.

Oh, and today, the day after this announcement? Shohei threw his first complete game shutout.
