Here’s another 📚✏️🚌📖📝Karen Farinas is the fifth grade Spanish dual-language immersion teacher at Windsor Elementary School in Orem. On a mission to make Utah the best it can be, Karen is passionate about education.
Born in Venezuela, Karen got her education and 16 years of teaching experience while in her native country.
“I have my bachelor’s degree in education, master’s in leadership and management, and Ph.D. in science of education,” says Karen. She could totally school you with all of those degrees.

The newly built Spanish Fork High School opens with the 2024-25 school year, and Andy Hunsaker has taken center stage when it comes to creating the perfect performance space for his students.
When you walk into the newly built auditorium, you see Andy’s fingerprints everywhere. From the drama classroom’s direct backstage access, to the way the lights are hung – he has created a beautiful space where creativity and the arts will surely thrive.
Andy was the perfect person to help the district create the auditorium/drama classroom space with 20+ years of experience teaching drama and performing in his own right. Andy has developed a physical space and an emotional space safe for all of his students who benefit from his mentorship.

“There is a wonderful team here — and our secret sauce is that we like each other, and we support each other,” Mary says. “The people that work here are delightful and they want things to be better, and who doesn’t want to work in that environment?”

Brandon Fugal Unveils Thrilling Future for the Former Evermore Park with New Ownership and Exciting Community Quest.

Dvorah Governale is a storyteller in every facet of her life. From film to stage, the story is the priority when Dvorah is behind the scenes.
The old “Sticky Shoe” theater on Main Street in American Fork has had many names. The newest one is Maven Cinemas. Dvorah and her husband Joe are the masterminds behind the rebrand!
Dvorah Governale and her husband, Joe, love movies almost as much as they love one another. The film-fanatic couple had been dreaming about opening their own movie theater for years.
Currently, the theater is on an extended intermission. Nevertheless, read all about in this current issue!

Utah County philanthropist Barbara Barrington Jones is moving into her new home in Highland — a 10,000-square-foot artistic masterpiece built by Denzel Brown of Padre Bay Home Builders.
