This cat was in Goodfellas, Dumb and Dumber, The Natural, and worked with Hanks, Freeman, Costner, Pacino, Deniro and more iconic names from Hollywood. He'll be in Buffalo September 15th 2024 for a Celebration of Life for Bill Cowell's daughter Alyssa. Bill is the founder of the Buffalo Niagara Film Festival. Our guest on this episode, actor Mike Starr, met Bill and became instant friends with Bill as he was readying a documentary about The Natural. Mike's connection to Buffalo is awesome and he talks proudly of his Buffalo experiences. You can meet Mike this weekend. Check out the scroll throughout for how to do that. And yet I never met the most famous native Rochesterian rocker, Lou Gramm from Foreigner. Yes that Lou Gramm who between Foreigner and his solo career had 50 singles, close to 20 in the Top 20. Juke Box Hero, DoubleVision, I Want to Know What Love Is..google their singles and you'll recognize so many songs you grew up with. Their first 5 albums were Top 5 or better on the charts. And yet, they aren't in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Lou spent a couple minutes with me as he got set to play a date in Rochester.
