I've been teaching piano for almost 30 years - starting as a young teen girl. I became the church pianist at age 14 and have been involved extensivly in church music since then. As a church musician, I've learned a wide variety of skills. Of course sight reading is a necessity in any piano setting. But in the church, reading music isn't sufficient to be well rounded in your abilities. Fortunately,

I found a wonderful teacher in my teen years who trained me to play improvisationally through a deep understanding of theory and I've continued my studies into my adult years. I continue learning, practicing, and understanding music theory today. Rates: $80/month for weekly 30-minute lessons. No missed lessons will be refunded. If a lesson is rescheduled, it must be used within two weeks of the missed lesson (before or after the missed lesson). We can work two lessons into one week if we cannot reschedule the same week of a missed lesson. Any additional missed lessons cannot be rescheduled or refunded. Each student MUST pay their invoice by Tuesday of the first week of every month or your lesson will be cancelled but still included in the billing cycle. If I miss a lesson or I’m not teaching on a holiday that can’t be rescheduled (for example, if Christmas falls on a Tuesday and the week is too busy to reschedule), I will prorate your invoice the following month. All lessons are 30 minute lessons. All lessons are weekly. Bi-weekly lessons are not available.
