The KVNO staff gave Otis Twelve a final round of applause after he signed off this morning. Thank you to everyone who helped us honor his legacy during our Fall Fund Drive.
Today we have our largest ever challenge fund, pledged by a group of local donors in honor of Otis Twelve’s retirement.
If we hit 120 donors by 6 p.m. tonight, KVNO will unlock $100,000 in a special fund to continue Otis’s legacy.
For the past 18 years, you’ve heard him on KVNO Fund Drives, asking you to do your part to support this station. Let’s send him off with a bang, honoring his legacy through listener support.

Otis Twelve
Thank you to the amazing team of students from the UNO College of Communication, Fine Arts and Media for spending their summer putting together this tribute to KVNO's Otis Twelve.
You can still catch Otis Twelve weekday mornings from 6-10 a.m. on 90.7 KVNO, Omaha's Classical Radio. His final broadcast will take place on October 4th, 2024, and KVNO will be honoring him over the next two months with special events on and off the air.
Otis Twelve had a very special guest stop by this morning to help with our Friday journey to Valhalla! Tegan is 10 years old and says the Ride of the Valkyries with Otis Twelve is the highlight of her week. To finish off a great school year, she got to celebrate this Friday live on air with him. Tune in every Friday at 8 a.m. and join Otis Twelve and listeners like Tegan to celebrate your week! Only on KVNO, Omaha's Classical Radio.
Omaha's own Winston Schneider will be a guest on the nationally syndicated program From the Top, a show dedicated to celebrating the stories, talents, and character of young classically trained musicians.
Winston composed a special work for KVNO's 50th anniversary, but on this week's From the Top, he'll showcase his original work, "Salt Creek Tiger Beetle."
Hear this special Earth Day episode of From the Top featuring Winston Schneider this Sunday at 5 p.m. on KVNO.
Honoring Music Educators
For the last day of the Spring Fund Drive, we’re recognizing the music teachers who ignited our passion for music with a special $10,000 challenge from a local donor.
We need 100 donors today to unlock $10,000 in support for KVNO. That’s 100 donations in honor of the incredible music teachers in our community.
The Spring Drive ends this afternoon, so don’t wait. Help us meet this essential goal and honor an educator in your life: https://kvno.org/
