Our discussion is on the fall of Syria's president Assad Bashir Said Arikat, the respected Washington correspondent the Palestinian newspaper reporter Al-Quds, that the Hayat Tahrir al-Sham offensive was planned in coordination with the US, Israel and Turkey.
It “came as a result of an American-Israeli ‘emergency plan’ coordinated by the administration of President Joe Biden with Turkey” and that it “was implemented according to an American vision for the day after the ceasefire agreement between Lebanon and Israel.”
Arikat wrote that his source had previously trained insurgents including the al-Qaida affiliate Jabhat al-Nusra and its successor Hayat Tahrir al-Sham in bases in Jordan and Turkey until 2021. Please Vote for Syd Locke 22nd Dist State Rep -His opponent Lisa Parshley has strong support from The Chamber of Commerce and Wealthy Speculators .Unlike Syd who supports social justice ,Workers rights ,ending wars ,climate justice . Syd is against the MFTE multi Family Tax exemption giving almost 20 million in property tax breaks to wealthy Speculators building unaffordable gentrified housing in Olympia . This policy supported by Ms Parshley has shifted those MFTE tax exemptions to regular Olympia Tax Payers amounting to approx $85 per year in their individual property tax statements annually, In foreign policy Syd says " We need peace, not war. All across social media, we see the horrors that are going on in Gaza. Civilians, including many thousands of children, are being bombed and starved to death right in front of our eyes. The US government, with our tax dollars, is funding this genocide. Thousands of people wrote and called their legislators to urge the President and congress to stop the bloodshed, and there were huge rallies at the capitol calling for a permanent ceasefire - yet not one legislator took a strong public stand for peace and justice in Palestine. All those constituent voices were politely dismissed or ignored. Meanwhile, the tax dollars being sent abroad to commit atrocities are desperately needed to fund housing, healthcare, education, and social services in this country.
This is a profound failure by our elected officials. I have been part of movements for justice and peace for many years. We need elected officials at every level of government to demand peace, not war. I won't be silent if I'm elected. I will use my platform to speak

Israel knew that, if it could stop foreign correspondents from reporting directly from Gaza, those journalists would end up covering events in ways far more to its liking.

They would hedge every report of a new Israeli atrocity – if they covered them at all – with a "Hamas claims" or "Gaza family members allege". Everything would be presented in terms of conflicting narratives rather than witnessed facts. Audiences would feel uncertain, hesitant, detached.

Israel could shroud its slaughter in a fog of confusion and disputation. The natural revulsion evoked by a genocide would be tempered and attenuated.

For a year, the networks’ most experienced war reporters have stayed put in their hotels in Israel, watching Gaza from afar. Their human-interest stories, always at the heart of war reporting, have focused on the far more limited suffering of Israelis than the vast catastrophe unfolding for Palestinians.

That is why western audiences have been forced to relive a single day of horror for Israel, on October 7, 2023, as intensely as they have a year of greater horrors in Gaza – in what the World Court has judged to be a "plausible" genocide by Israel.

Western publics are being subjected to a campaign of psychological warfare, where genocide is classed as ‘self-defence’ and opposition to it ‘terrorism’
