Here is a new criteria for if you have TRUE friends. Now, someone who will take you to and from the airport is kinda easy, but still WONDERFUL. But someone you can can at 11:30 pm at night just to say how much you mean to them….. Yeah, as the age gets higher, the percentage falls into somewhere around 0.000001%. A shame, really, when a seeming disturbance was simply a desire to tell the other person that they mean something and are just grateful to have them in their lives.

HEY!!! STUDENT SHOW AT SPOTLIGHT PLAYERS IN MATAWAN, JUNE 15 AT 1 PM!!!!
YES! That's right! A student show will be held on Saturday, June 15 at 1 pm at the Spotlight players in Matawan NJ! We will be asking a donation between $5-10 for admission. Every dime will go to hospice care in memory of Steve HAjdu-Nemeth and other friends that have passed. AND THERE WILL BE A NEW ELECTRIC GUITAR RAFFLED OFF! Dorothy AJ Gallop, Andrew Eason and Ed Pilcer will be with the back up band!! Today is the anniversary of the death of my dear friend Henry D'Alo who passed away in 2020. I am so proud and grateful that myself and the band allowed him, at 68 years old, to have a dream come true by playing in a real band via the student concerts.on a custom made guitar he had that was engraved with the name of his late wife. I could go on for ten thousand words about the many many conversations we had and having to say farewell to him as he faded in hospice. Maybe this will sum it up.....
One Thursday when I was visiting, he said, for no reason or prompt, "I don't know why you didn't become a success from your Music and are touring the world?" "Well," I said right back, "maybe God wants me here right now hanging out with you. And I'm really good with that."
Rest in peace, my dear friend. Thursdays are not the same without you.

Was listening to Leonard Bernstein's lecture series "The Unanswered Question" about the rise of atonal/12 tone music and that it was in question whether it would ever become mainstream. It didn't, but he didn't see that the manipulation of sound would become part of the common music landscape via computers as well as traditional melody falling out of fashion. Still amazing how that major scale (and variations) seems eternal. Personally, I'm REALLY glad...

While talking to someone today, "People tell me that they cannot play or it's too hard or they are not 'naturals". Without saying a word, I put on Django Reinhardt. They get glazed looks at how amazing he was. I then go, "two of his fingers on his left hand didn't work, so.... what was your excuse again?" If you want to play, you can play, but I never said it would be easy. Nothing of value ever is.
