I was asked the other day about having a "Mission Statement," and I somewhat flipped with my answer saying, "I don't have one." Several days later I realized I had lied to that person, I've had a mission statement for the past two decades, I just failed to follow it in all my effort to keep up with the changes in technology. My Mission Statement is "K.I.S.S" Keep It Simple & Straightforward! I hav
en't been doing that, not so much because I've ignored it, but mostly because Life keeps getting in the way. We have these great ideas and plans to do something bigger and better than normal life, then normal life steps in and gives us a handful of stuff we cannot ignore, and in most cases, we have to put our great ideas and plans on the back burner until we deal with life. I've been focused on my K.I.S.S Mision Statement for the past several months, and for the first time in years, I feel like I'm in control again. No stress, no hurry up to get things done, no forcing the ideas and the work to try and impress others, just taking it a day at a time and letting it come together. My heart and mind are working in tandem, and I'm finally thinking more highly of others than myself. That may not sound like a big deal to many in this day and age, but I assure you it is, and that will be the theme of The Hinson Report coming in mid-January, more details coming in the next few days.

Sometimes life projects are like going through the Fast-Food Drive-Thru, then there are others that are like cooking a complete Thanksgiving Feast, it takes time.
Currently, I'm deeply engrossed in the intricate process of preparing a comprehensive Online Thanksgiving Feast. This endeavor is not just time-consuming, but also requires meticulous attention to detail.
At this stage, I can honestly say I've been true to the process, and I'm pleased to report that I'm making some real, noticeable progress on all fronts. How much progress? Enough to honestly say that all three websites will be functioning online by Saturday, June 15th.
As old Bugs used to say," That's All Folks", at least for now, thanks for reading and make plans to join me on June 15th, if not sooner.
Peace!

Oh, I feel like I need to explain the profile pic. I chose it because it reminds me of a time in my life when I was troubled and seriously confused about where my life was headed. This was my pic from my school yearbook, cannot be sure if it was 9th or 10th grade, but it was surely around that time. The back story behind this is really long and painful, and I don't think I'll be sharing that no time soon, but I will sometime in the near future - I THINK?
Either way, the photo is to remind me that no matter how bad life gets there is always hope, but only if you believe it, more to come later this year.

Hey, bear with me as I move forward with regaining control of my pages. It wasn't my intention to have all these pages, but that's the way the old FB system worked.
Today, I'm attempting to regain control of all my pages, and it seems to be working. Once that is done, I plan to either delete all but one page, or direct all pages to one page.
My wish is to have my main FB page be my latest one, Ken Hinson's Olathe MarketPlace. I'm working to coordinate the FB version with my website, and once completed I think everyone in Olathe will find it to be a great resource for various types of information.
Got to get back to work, thanks for reading and please make plans to visit this page regularly for updates on the Olathe MarketPlace.

The best way to tell a story is to start at the beginning, but my beginning starts in two different places. The first is back in March 1950, and the second is the spring of 1967.
I was born in 1950, and I was reborn so to speak in 1967 when I became obsessed with becoming a Radio DJ, so much so that my entire life changed over night and all I talked about or worked towards had to do with making that dream a reality.
The next three years of my life were devoted to nothing but radio, so much so that I even enrolled into the Columbia School of Broadcasting, where I spent all of 3 nights. I dropped out of the classes because I thought they were trying to mold me into the likeness of Walter Cronkite and Dan Rather, but looking back I see they were trying to give me a quality education to help me become a professional broadcaster. But I couldn’t see it then because all I wanted to do was be a DJ, spinning records, talking trash, going to all the concerts and hanging out with recording artist.
That’s how it all started some 50 years ago, and the events and situations that have taken place over past fifty plus years have brought me to this place, and never in my wildest dreams did I entertain the thoughts or even wishes that I would find an opportunity like this.
Today I’m blessed to have my own webcasting service, digital audio and video production agency, and a awesome nee lease on my broadcasting career.
There is a lot more about me and this place I plan to share with you in the days and weeks to come, but not today.
I have tons of things I need to update and others I need to create so my plate is full for right now, but I will do a far better job of communicating all the what, where, why and when regarding Ken Hinson Radio not only to keep you informed but to once and for all get this show on the road.
