BREAKING NEWS: After 18 years, my last day at Midtown Renaissance is July 10th. It been a crazy, exhilarating, incredibly rewarding, and often, infuriating, experience. To try to sum it up any other way would be impossible. I've given 40% of my years lived to this place. It's crazy when you think of it that way, but it has helped put into focus what I want out of life.
That being the case, we are leaving Oklahoma July 22nd and heading out west! We sold one of the Jeeps and nearly all of our STUFF, bought a badass 43' 5th wheel and a great big one ton dually, and are opening a mobile RV repair business (more details on that to come!). Brandon graduated with his certification on Saturday after spending the last 5 weeks in Athens, TX at the National RV Training Academy. To say we are excited would be the biggest understatement in human history!
Some will say we're crazy (maybe we are), some will violently cheer for us (maybe they're the crazy ones) - I appreciate both sides and we need both groups of people to help us through and keep us motivated. Haters make me happy!
We're heading out to Utah first where we will spend 3 months in Fillmore, exploring the state as deeply as we can. We will then head to Arizona for the winter (no more snow for me, YAY!). Who knows where we'll go after that but it's sure to be an adventure!
This would be an excellent time for you to subscribe to our (little but growing) YouTube channel if you aren't already. I'll link it in the first comment below! While it's been focused solely on off-road content, it will definitely morph into more of a Vlog style channel which will still contain our passion for off-roading (I mean, we're going to be in UTAH and ARIZONA among some of the best wheeling destinations in the world), but will also include more about life on the road, the ups and downs of starting a business, hiking, tent camping, and much, much more. We'd sure appreciate the support!
Both of us have experienced some tremendous losses in our lives the last few years. I think it takes a great loss like that to truly understand how fleeting life is and how fast it will go. We're done waiting for some day. We're done doing things "the right way". Our time is now, and we are FULL SENDING the F**K out of life from this point forward.
