KFOR & Quail Creek Bank are proud to recognize Fire Marshall Matthew Elliot of the Norman Fire Department for his 12 years of service. In nearly three years as Fire Marshall, Elliot has introduced drone technology for rescues and grass fire monitoring and pioneered Knox Boxes for quicker emergency access. His dedication has earned him the title of Oklahoma Fire Marshall of the Year. Fire Chief Travis King commended his team for their exceptional work in fire prevention, community engagement, and innovation.
Proud To Serve: Moore Car Rescue
KFOR & Quail Creek Bank are honoring two police officers, Lt. Clint Johnson and Officer Abby Teal of the Moore Police Department, for their heroic rescue of a man from a car fire. Each officer was presented with a $500 check, which they have chosen to donate to Kids Korral and SISU Youth as part of the PayIt4Ward initiative. Light to moderate snow continues to fall across north central and central OK. For the Metro, the light, powdery snow is blowing around and generally not sticking to the roads. There's a dusting on grassy surfaces. This will continue for the next hour or two and slowly push east.
