4️⃣:1️⃣LADDER SAFETY - 4 TO 1 RATIO: Angle your Ladder properly - for every 4 Feet high the Ladder reaches up, set the Base of the Ladder 1 Foot out from the wall. (This can be estimated by counting Rungs, which are about one Foot apart).

🦶ALWAYS ensure a Ladder is secure by either having a Helper (Spotter) support the Base while a Ladder is being used - OR - IF the Ladder can NOT be held by someone else, make sure it has an appropriate Foot to prevent it from Slipping (The Feet of the Ladder can also be staked if you are using a Ladder outside and no one is available to support the Feet of the Ladder).

3️⃣An Extension or Straight Ladder used to access an elevated surface must extend at least 3 feet above the point of support/contact.

🔋WORK CREW’S LIT

📲Content Creds:

⚡ENERGY DRINKS - KNOW THE RISK: Energy Drinks ARE heavily marketed as quick boosts for Energy, Focus, AND Endurance — BUT they CAN cause more harm than good, especially for Workers in physically demanding OR hot environments.

💥Energy Drinks typically contain large amounts of Caffeine, Sugar, and Stimulants like Guarana or Taurine — these can temporarily increase alertness but also raise your Heart Rate, Blood Pressure, and Body Temperature.

🥵When Working in the Heat, Stimulants can strain your body’s natural cooling system, increasing the risk of Heat Stress, Dehydration, and Cardiac Events. Combined with Heavy PPE or Outdoor Work, this CAN become dangerous quickly.

💧Energy Drinks DO NOT hydrate you — Caffeine is a Diuretic, which means it makes you lose Water faster. OSHA and the CDC recommend choosing Water or Electrolyte Drinks instead when working in hot or labor-intensive environments.

🩺The American Heart Association notes that too many Energy Drinks CAN cause Heart Palpitations, Arrhythmias, or even Heart Attacks in some individuals, especially those with underlying conditions or on certain medications.

🌬️BREATH V.19

😵‍💫IMMUNE TO FENTANYL

😤DUST INHALATION SAFETY - ENGINEERING CONTROLS: Use Engineering Controls such as Local Exhaust Ventilation (with Dust Collectors) OR Wet Methods to prevent the release of Dust into the Air.

🥵Dry Cutting generates high levels of Dust - AND - that Cloud of Dust you see WHEN a Worker Cuts OR Grinds Concrete, Brick, OR Stone is NOT just harmless Dust, it contains Crystalline Silica, which is Dangerous AND MAY cause Cancer by Inhalation.

🌫MOST Crystalline Silica is in the form of Quartz, AND common Sand is almost 100% Quartz - Fine Particles created by Cutting AND Grinding CAN get deep into the Lungs - MOST Concrete AND Masonry Products contain large amounts of Sand.

🌬WHEN you Inhale the Dust, Silica Particles Scar your Lungs, causing a disabling, irreversible, AND incurable Lung Disease called Silicosis.

🤒Breathing Dust containing Crystalline Silica has also been linked to other Diseases such as Tuberculosis, Kidney Disease, AND Lung Cancer - Symptoms CAN include Fever, Weight Loss, AND Night Sweats.

👨🏻‍🏫Provide Workers with Training that includes information about Health Effects, Work Practices, AND Protective Equipment for Respirable Crystalline Silica.
