sometimes catch phrases and slang become cliche and their overuse annoys me. so i've prepared a list of acceptable substitutions which i encourage everyone to use henceforth (from now on)...

in place of "Level Up" i'd like to suggest that instead
we 'elevate' or 'make lofty' or refer to someone whos really kicking ass in their field, as their 'loftiness.' (ex: did you hear Mark got a promotion and a fat raise? it seems the voodoo doll he bought from the crone beneath the bridge has really exacerbated his loftiness.)

'game changer' is the other one for today's sermon because it convinces idiots to spend money, where they might not need. so instead how about, 'transmogrify 'or 'refashion' might work just as well.
(ex. 'thanks for the thesaurus, grandma. saving money on software subscriptions to try and sound smart makes this a real transmogrifier. and the best birthday ever or 'sass me again, grandson and i'll refashion your face like i did your daddy's)

i am very happy and excited this morning because later today i get to do my favorite thing in the world which get on stage and make songs with my friends. you can watch if youu would like, and listen. will be at the farmers market tonight starting at 7. and its an open 'Jam' too, even though i never thought i would utter that word again. so bring your axe, picks, sticks, shakers, kazoos and didjeridoos and we'll see you there tonight. (all ages $5 requested at the door). WAKE UP OKC, P***Y IS HERE FOR YOU!!!! AHHHHH!!!!! did i mention we have a SURPISE in store as well?! didnt i tell you to EXPECT SURPRISES?!?!?! why didnt you listen? i dont lie qbout stuff like that.

well, its been a couple weeks so i might as well break the bad news to anyone who hasn't heard already....
The Blues Cruise is no more, and i am no longer an employee of Tyler Media. i didnt do anything wrong, but the Bosses want the whole station to be more "streamlined." (in other words, run by robots and automation) and so my little corner of the airwaves has been paved over by imminent domain. Cheer up though, Cruisers... it was a damn good run, and a hell of a lot of fun. And because i still care about the music scene in OKC (and sometimes Tulsa too) I'll continue to maintain the live music calendar. if you need me, i'll be over at Mojo's Blues Club (1 E California, Bricktown) Gently weeping with my guitar. Many thanks to everyone who tuned in and turned on... it was a damn good run!
