Caramel Turtle Poke Cake
Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box)
1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
1 jar (12 oz) caramel sauce
1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
1 cup chopped pecans
1 cup chopped chocolate or mini chocolate chips
Extra caramel sauce and chocolate syrup (for drizzling)
Directions:
Bake the Cake:
Preheat your oven and prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions. Bake the cake in a 9x13-inch pan and let it cool slightly.
Poke the Cake:
Use the handle of a wooden spoon to poke holes all over the cake. Make sure the holes are deep but not too wide.
Add the Filling:
Pour the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the cake, allowing it to seep into the holes. Follow with the caramel sauce, spreading it gently to fill the holes. Let the cake cool completely.
Top the Cake:
Spread the whipped topping evenly over the cooled cake. Sprinkle with chopped pecans and chocolate.
Add Finishing Touches:
Drizzle extra caramel sauce and chocolate syrup over the top for a decadent finish.
Chill and Serve:
Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before slicing. Serve chilled and enjoy the gooey, caramel-filled goodness!
