We did not have a scheduled speaker for today's meeting but had a very welcomed impromptu speaker.

We welcomed Artha Jonassaint to the podium. She is the daughter of our Kiwanis member, Mac Jonassaint.

Artha is now attending Yale after graduating from Harvard. She majors in Agriculture and spoke passionately about the FFA and how much being raised in our community has helped her with the transition to these larger schools and cities.

We were very proud to hear of her accomplishments. 🌟

For those who don't know us, Okeechobee Main Street is a 501c3 non-profit. We depend on our members & sponsorships.

We help our community grow and thrive by organizing exciting events, promoting local businesses, celebrating arts and culture, and preserving our town's rich history.
We organize all the downtown festivals, parades and events. We host monthly Mixers for our business members.

We promote the Arts through events and exhibits at our local art agency, the Arts and Culture Alliance of Okeechobee County, located on the street behind CVS in the yellow house.
