UPDATE: An evacuation order for the river bottom area of the Santa Clara river at Victoria Avenue has been issued due to the Auto Fire - Zone 1.

Ventura County Fire Department is on scene, the "Auto Fire", for an estimated 5 acre spot fire near Auto Center Drive in Ventura. The head of the fire seems to be heading towards the golf course and no structures are threatened on that side of the river according to radio traffic. This story will be updated.

Ojai is providing yard waste disposal bins for the public's use due to forecast wind events this week. The bins are only for disposal of yard waste due to the wind events. Large bins are available Jan. 13 through 17 at Sarzotti Park and the city's Storage Yard on S. Signal Street. UPDATE: An additional bin will be added to Rotary Park on Jan. 14.
