More than 100 people turned out for a candlelight vigil at Oxnard City Hall on Wednesday to honor Renee Nicole Good, who was shot and killed by an ICE agent in Minneapolis earlier today. Speakers from and other organizations led chants like “We will honor all our martyrs” and “ICE out of Ventura County.” Attendees held signs reading “Stop ICE Terror Now” and “Justice for Renee Nicole Good” while cars honked and the crowd circled around candles, decorated riot shields and flowers. A crowd of roughly 60 gathered to protest the recent U.S. military action in Venezuela at Ventura City Hall on Sunday, Jan. 4. Speakers included members and organizers with and chants off“Hands off Venezuela” and “no blood for oil.”
