One of the best parts of a Delmarva summer has got to be peaches! Fresh picked from a local orchard or picked up at your weekly farmer's market, there is nothing quite like the juicy flavor of a perfectly ripened peach. Check out our peach recipe box, highlighted by this one from contributor Kate Livie in our Summer issue accompanied by her story on the faschinating period in Delmarva history when peaches ruled the landscape.

A commitment to sourcing locally and mentoring talent, along with skillful preparation and plating, led to his being honored as a 2024 James Beard finalist for Best Chef Mid-Atlantic. Contributors Pam George and Deny Howeth visit with Kern and pastry chef Skylar Crowley in our Summer cover story. PLUS, get Sky's recipe for the cover dessert!
