Billy Lane's Sons of Speed is happy to announce that David Morrill Mototique will be the Grand Marshal for the October 19th races at New Smyrna Speedway!!!!!! David has been involved in racing for years & we are honored to have him as our Grand Marshal. In the mid 80s David road raced professionally in the AMA's Battle of the Twins and Formula 2 Grand Prix classes. Also held AMA National #32 in the 250cc Grand Prix Class. Retired as a Master Police Officer with 26 years of service with the Orlando, Florida Police Department. After retirement, he started Deadly Dave's Blog later known as The Mototique Blog in 2014 to share the lost stories of early American motorcycle racing. His articles have appeared in the Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum and American Iron Magazines, along with the Birmingham History Center, Paul D'Orleans' The Vintagent websites and with his Mototique blog [email protected]. During WWII both Harley-Davidson and Indian designed and built specialized motorcycles for military use in North Africa. Indian's Machine was the Model 841 - a 45 c.i. longitudinally-mounted V-twin with shaft drive.
