This site is often admired for its beauty, but I only see a suffering aquatic ecosystem amidst the algae-covered waters caused by nitrogen and phosphorus runoff from development and excessive fertilizer use.

Excess nutrients harm aquatic life, endangering species and ecosystems.

Support Springs Protection Awareness Month and help by growing native, volunteering, staying informed, speaking up, and voting responsibly.

Tomorrow is a special day for all the gentle giants of the sea – it’s Manatee Appreciation Day! 💙

As someone who feels a deep connection to these magnificent creatures, I couldn’t be more thrilled about the release of the new “Save Manatees” stamp by the United States Postal Service in collaboration with Manatee Lagoon.

Manatees are my spirit animals, and I often joke that I must have been one in a past life. 🧜‍♀️

I’m so excited to attend the unveiling of the stamp tomorrow at Silver Springs Park.

It’s not just about celebrating these incredible animals, but also about raising awareness for their conservation. 👈

We must all do our part to protect these gentle giants and their habitat for future generations.🙏

Water, the essence of life itself, is our most important natural resource. 💧

In Florida, we’re blessed with the largest concentration of freshwater springs globally. However, it’s disheartening to know that many Floridians still lack access to clean drinking water.

The health of our aquifers directly impacts every other water body in Florida – from lakes and rivers to streams and oceans – all interconnected and all suffering.

As Floridians, it’s our responsibility to stand together and safeguard this precious natural resource.

But what can we do? Here are some ways to help safeguard our freshwater supplies:

💧Conserve Water: Simple actions like fixing leaks, using water-efficient appliances, and being mindful of water usage can make a big difference.

💧Protect Water Sources: Support policies and initiatives aimed at protecting our water sources from pollution and overuse.

💧Get Involved: Join local conservation efforts, volunteer for clean-up activities, and spread awareness about water conservation in your community.

💧Educate Others: Share information about the importance of water conservation and encourage others to take action.

Shellebrate International Mermaid Day with us🐚🧜‍♀️

Join and myself us on Friday, March 29th from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM for the Cypress Point Park Beach Cleanup!

Meet world-renowned mermaids, The American Mermaid and Mermaid Michi, The Guardian of the Waters.

Help us clean this beach and its trails. 🐚

After the clean-up, take photos with the American Mermaid. 💙

Volunteers need to bring LOTS of water, sun protection (hats, sunscreen, sun shirts, sunglasses), aquatic shoes, or wading boots. Please also pack snacks and lunch with you! 👍

All cleanup supplies will be provided on-site including gloves, grabbers, and trash bags!

Prizes will be given out to participants for the weirdest find, heaviest bag and much more!

Wear your mermaid themed clothes to get extra raffle tickets 🎟️

Meet us at the parking lot to gear up for the cleanup!

You have been supporting me and my journey for years and I am so thankful!

I wanted to share something important with you. 👈

This year, I’m shifting my focus towards self-discovery, business growth, and taking care of my mental and physical health.

Apart from being a professional mermaid, I am a full-time content creator and social media manager. All of this screen time has taken a toll on my mental health. 😕

So, in the coming months, I’ll be taking a step back from social media, prioritizing my well-being, and limiting my screen time.

You won’t see or hear as much from me as you are used to for several months but don’t worry, because when I am ready, I’ll be coming back with a bang! 🌊

Mermaids for clean water!💙🧜‍♀️

Our springs and waterways are under threat, and we need your help! 🚨

We need to join forces to stop SB 1126, a bill that threatens to roll back regulations on single-use containers across the state. This bill could jeopardize the clean waters of iconic state parks like Ichetucknee, Weeki Wachee, Rainbow, and Silver. They vote tomorrow so we need to act now!

🛑 Call to Action 1: Click the link in my bio to tell your representatives to vote NO on SB 1126 and protect our spring-fed rivers! 🗳️ Every voice counts, and together we can make a difference!

🛑 Call to Action 2: Stay informed about all alerts related to our precious springs and water ecosystems. Follow the for timely updates and ways to get involved. 📢 Our commitment to preserving these natural wonders starts with staying connected.

What’s alarming is that this bill, if enacted, will impose a Prohibition on regulating single-use plastics and is retroactive. This means it could wipe out any existing regulations, including those that currently protect our precious state parks like Ichetucknee Springs State Park and Rainbow Springs State Park.

🛑 The Problem:
Current plastic regulations in place at these parks could be eliminated if HB 1641 becomes law. These regulations are crucial for preserving the natural beauty of our parks, preventing pollution, and safeguarding the health of our environment and wildlife.

🌊 The Impact:
Imagine the detrimental effects on our beloved parks, where wildlife thrives and families come to enjoy nature. Plastic pollution could increase, harming ecosystems and endangering the well-being of both humans and animals.
