COVID-19 testing for school district employees is now available. Each Friday, Florida’s Department of Health in Marion County is reserving 20 slots for MCPS employees who are asymptomatic. Those wanting testing should call the COVID-19 Call Center at 352.644.2590 and identify themselves as an MCPS employee. Further details will be available at that point.

They shared this information for employees who have concerns about going back to work, or childcare issues that could prevent them from conning back to work at this time.

CITIZENS INFORMATION LINE IS NOW OPEN
Activation of the Citizen Information Line (352) 369-7500:
1. The Marion County Citizen Information Line will be activated Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 8AM. The line will remain active and staffed from 8AM-8PM, 7-days a week until it is determined it is no longer needed.
2. This line will be used to field non-medical phones calls in reference to the COVID-19 event.
3. ALL medical calls will still be referred to the Marion County Health Department COVID-19 Hotline at (352) 644-2590.
