Wrapping events, news, training and information. In the fall of 2013, Pro Sign and Graphics in Columbus, Ohio needed a wrap installer on the other side of the United States. The usual resources were explored but online lists of installers seemed cumbersome, awkward and unhelpful. Sure, it was easy to find a name, a website and a certification but what about where the shop was located on a map in r

elation to the project itself? Was it possible to find a good wrap installer closer to the work and minimize a trip-charge? Was it possible to compare shop locations between various certification systems?

“A significant portion of the wrap process was being overlooked” said Tim Evans, so he sat down to start coding and the WrapperMapper.com website was born. From the initial idea, the WrapperMapper.com has grown to over 1,400 mapped professional wrap installers in 48 countries. The primary purpose of the site is to actively find, promote and encourage professional wrappers in all parts of the world. An overall industry resource, the site has worked to forge relationships with industry film suppliers, tool distributors, software packages as well as online resources & training. An active participation by the Avery Dennison CWI certification team has resulted in bringing their network of installers on board. Collaboration with Justin Pate has created another avenue of training, tips and tools with one of the industry’s leading wrap install proponents. The idea has definitely validated itself as other industry sites quickly followed suit and added maps to their pages. Still, the WrapperMapper.com bills itself as The original, world’s largest, and easiest way to find Professional Wrap Installers. While primarily a free website, the WrapperMapper.com is an actively curated industry resource that requires applicants to meet certain criteria…

1. All applicants must be a legitimate, wrap production / installation business with a physical address.
2. All applicants must have a viable, professional website that visibly showcases their wrap work. Simply having a free Facebook, Twitter or Instagram account is not enough to qualify for inclusion on the map.
3. All applicants who claim an industry certification must be officially listed on that particular organization’s website. WrapperMapper.com recognizes the time, skill and financial expenditure that goes into training & qualifying for an installation certification. We wish to honor and support all such systems. Those who wish to apply can go the Free Sign-Up page… http://wrappermapper.com/free-signup/ to get their name, location, phone number and certification on the map. Shops can also apply for a Lifetime Premium which adds a considerable number of extra features to their listing for a nominal fee.
