Save $120 annually by paying your bill on time
Cable Co-op would prefer not to charge any late fees, since late fees create extra work for the Cable Co-op staff. Our current late fee has been in effect for decades and does not cover costs associated with tracking, processing and notifying members with delinquent accounts.
We have decided to increase the late fee to $10 per month, which will be effective February 1st, 2025. This will give all members time to get their bills up-to-date and get through the holiday season.
Please remember late fees can be avoided by paying your bill on or before the 22nd of each month.
Ways to avoid late fees:
Online Bill Pay: Use our online portal (free of charge), which is available 24/7, at www.oberlin.net.
Cable Co-op’s autopay. You may pick the date to pay each month and we will run the payment. There is NO FEE to sign up for autopay with Cable Co-op.
Email Billing. You will receive your monthly billing statement via email, free of charge. No need to rely on the USPS to get you your bill on time. Plus, help our green initiative by saving paper and help us keep our costs low (no rate increases for 3 years) by eliminating postage, paper, and time.
Reasons Cable Co-op is unable to waive late fees.
1. If your account is already past due, we do not waive the late fee.
2. If it is your first Cable Co-op bill.
3. If payment was made via check and the check did not clear the bank (bounced)
4. If you did not receive a bill and did not notify us within 5 days prior to the due date. Bills are always due on the 22nd of each month and Cable Co-op has no control of the USPS, once bills are mailed, we are all at the mercy of the post office.
Official Notice:
