Happy Holidays from Cable Co-op.
For your information (FYI)
Oberlin Business Initiative
Last summer Cable Co-op in collaboration with Oberlin Business Partnership (OBP) launched the Business Initiative.
To participate you had to be a member of both the Cable Co-op and OBP. Participation required writing a 200 – 300-word essay on why you choose to do business in Oberlin and what you love about Oberlin.
A winner was chosen by a four-person panel that includes a director of a nonprofit Board, a city council member, and even our very own National Teacher of the Year.
The prize was a marketing package worth thousands of dollars! This included a professionally made commercial and airing of that commercial for six months on top networks such as, USA, TNT, ESPN, ESPN2, SyFy, TBS, CNN, Fox News, and HLN. The commercial will also be shared on social media and local channel nine. The commercial is yours and you can do whatever else you would like to do with it.
The Business Initiative will launch again this summer and I hope YOU will participate in it. All you have to do is write a short essay and why you do business in Oberlin and what you love about Oberlin. This essay is not judged on grammar or writing skills, but rather your passion for our great town of Oberlin.
If you have any questions about it please send an email to; [email protected].
The winner of last years event was “The Hope, Into It Collection”. Here is their commercial.
