NEWARK, Calif. - A Bay Area man who recently lost his wife was walking along, minding his own business one day when he was suddenly targeted in a heinous crime. Criminals ripped off symbols of love that he's held close since his wife's passing.
Police are now on the hunt for the criminals, hoping to retrieve the ring that symbolizes the couple's special bond.

BREAKING NEWS: A new wildfire broke out in the community of Castaic called the "Hughes Fire", which is in the Northwestern area of Los Angeles County. Cal Fire says it's grown to about 100 acres and evacuations have been ordered.

Vets in Istanbul, Turkey, were amazed when a stray dog brought her sick puppy to their clinic on Monday, January 13, helping to save the pup’s life.
According to staff at Beylikduzu Alfa Veterinary, the puppy was freezing to death when its mother carried it in her mouth to the door of the clinic.
Footage provided by veterinarian Haluk Omer shows the dog waiting by her puppy’s side while vets administered treatment. The puppy was warmed up and reunited with her mother and sibling, who was already at the clinic.
According to local news, the other puppy had already been brought to the clinic by local people concerned for the dog.
Staff at the clinic told local news that the dog and her two pups will stay at the clinic for now.

Pastry chef Janina O’Leary's brioche doughnuts, sprinkled classics, crullers and crème brûlée donuts crowned with gold flakes were all selling fast.
