This Christmas was particularly special because his grandma would announce which grandchild would inherit her business as she was finally ready to retire. Honestly? My husband and I weren't really in the running for it, unlike his sister, who's been buttering up their grandma nonstop.

So, all the guests were gathered in the living room, having a great time, when suddenly, my sister-in-law said, "Does anyone else smell something burning?" I rushed to the kitchen and found my turkey totally burned — the oven settings were way higher than I'd set. Let's be real — I had zero doubt she was behind it.

I was about to finish my shift at my family’s pizza place when she burst in – a woman with wild eyes and an angry expression, clutching a pizza box like it was a ticking time bomb. My grandmother, always calm and warm, was at the counter.
