I started an series (in my Instagram stories) and I've been getting some GREAT questions from small business owners and freelancers!

Here's how it works:

1. Each Thursday, I post a question in my IG stories prompting you to think about a topic related to: digital marketing, social media strategy, brand strategy, and copywriting.

2. My followers submit the questions related to the topic of the week, and get quick and free 1-1 help from me through my content.

3. If I have follow-up questions I want to explore before I give you my advice, we chat in the comment section so I can get clarity on the challenges you're facing OR further details on something specific to your work style, business model, or niches.

I’m working on updating my first blog post based on some feedback from a friend and colleague.

Why am I taking the time to re-edit my content?

Quality content attracts organic website traffic, and improving your SEO is a continuous process.

If you don’t know what SEO is: it’s an acronym for Search Engine Optimization, and it’s the art and science of increasing the visibility of your website via search engines.

Your blog is one area where you should consider refining your content, keeping it evergreen, and improving your SEO.

A blog is a great place to focus your SEO efforts, whether you’re a writer, an entrepreneur, or a business. Your blog can be an extremely effective tool for increasing traffic to your website.

I know this because I increased an organization’s website traffic by more than 1,000% within two years using ONLY organic growth. The majority of that website traffic was the result of monthly blog posts.

A couple of months ago, I started working as a Coordinator for the New Economy Coalition’s Black Solidarity Economy Fund.

What started as a goal to raise $100,000 has led to a Fund with a total of more than $200,000.

What is this Fund for?

To invest in Black-led, Black-serving members of the New Economy Coalition.

This coalition is a membership-based network representing the solidarity economy movement in the United States. The coalition “exists to organize its members into a more powerful and united force, in order to accelerate the transition of our economic system from capitalist to a solidarity economy.”

Black members of NEC launched this fundraising campaign in response to the wave of institutions that made public commitments to invest in Black organizing last year.

The Black Solidarity Economy Fund got some media coverage from a Canadian social impact publication, Future of Good, for the awareness this campaign is bringing to the funding divide that exists within nonprofit and social impact sectors: https://futureofgood.co/redistribute-your-stimulus-check-how-one-u-s-coalition-is-bridging-the-social-impact-sectors-racist-funding-divide/
