Ep.2 of Mouthful with Shanti is up! Support us and follow on spotify! On this episode, Shanti Charan Comedy interviews Arjun Banerjee and we talk about how the journey or gender can be constant. Looking at gender as a galaxy removes the limitations of the binary and that creates a space for Arjun to make feminine s*x noises and me masculine ones. We also discuss Bipolar disorder and growing up Indian.
Food for thought: The term Trans*, including the asterisk, serves as an umbrella term that includes all gender minorities. The term Trans* demonstrates an understanding that persons can be in a constant transition and continuously be on the journey of becoming. Trans* breaks down the expectation of performance, this approach combats the stereotypical ideas of a transgender person.
