“In a nutshell….”
In a world where many seem to hold firm to a set of beliefs (religious and non-religious), we are called to co-exist. Religion clashes with Politics, Power clashes with Truth, and those in between seem to feel the crushing effect of these two ends or better called “agendas.”
We have created a platform where people can be just that, PEOPLE. While
some look for buildings and venues to be packed, we seek the souls we can bring back to the light. And, for those who want to be challenged and are willing to dig deeper into the TRUE meaning of life, we have put together a “get-together program” called R.O.O.T.S. (Rising Out of the Silence). Our hearts are at changing lives, helping the oppressed, and rebuilding the souls, broken and silenced by our cultural and religious movements. We won’t deny our zeal for God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, but at the same time, we understand the TRUE meaning of what individuals are called for in this life. Religion has poisoned the human mind; culture has corrupted the human heart, and the agenda of many keeps filling up with knowledge and power. Again, we seek to inspire and motivate individuals without an agenda to “win souls” (like some religious folks call it); we leave that to God, the one and only with the power and authority to change people’s hearts and minds. Our passion is to discuss, understand and reason together. We don’t compromise the TRUTH for feelings; we don’t compromise the TRUTH to fulfill a mission; we don’t compromise the TRUTH with gossip; we seek to ABIDE EN TRUTH. All of our lives, from lectures to seminars, from the streets to that “high position,” people can set us up on a pedestal… people always say, “think outside the box.” Unfortunately, in our world, “thinking outside the box” means “thinking only inside my box” because as soon as you don’t fit their plan, you get the boot. People may call it “church hurt,” “outcast,” “rebels,” “disobedience,” … you name it. How about we call it people seeking the TRUTH! What We Teach
Simple! We teach the TRUTH in the word of God! We believe that science, history, and all these branches of knowledge and understanding complement and prove the word of God to be reliable, active, and the primary source of life's tough questions. We don’t knock down people for their ideas and way of thinking; we knock down the poison and broken roots of what culture has implanted in all of us. Opposite to religions, we don’t teach bible verses that will get you throughout the day. We introduce a complete story of TRUTH that awakens the words already embedded in your soul, living words that empower and surpass self-help. Religions and cultures have pre-packed some ideas and seek to micromanage with a blanket policy of what life is all about. At ABIDE EN TRUTH and R.O.O.T.S., we strive to puzzle life’s mosaic together. It’s not about division but precision; it’s not about “liking” but fighting WITH the TRUTH. Media and culture outlets’ purpose is not to inform us but to exhaust critical thinking to the point it destroys the TRUTH. You ask, What’s the TRUTH? Well, come find out! What we stand for
ABIDE EN TRUTH comes from unity, love, suffering, rejection, grace, passion… AET, as we call it. “A” represents some of our children's names, the force behind everything we do, and our families. “E” represents our Hispanic roots. Since in English the word “inclusion” can be worded “IN,” we switch it up with “EN,” which means “inclusion” as well in Spanish. “T,” well, it’s about Truth. People fight for justice, love, peace, etc., but the reality is that none of these attributes will be achieved until we come to a deeper understanding of what’s the truth. I know many will say, “well, but your truth doesn’t have to be my truth,” “truth can’t be absolute,” “truth is objective,” … BUT, then we wonder why things go the way they go. That’s precisely why we have also created R.O.O.T.S.! stand for R.ising O.ut O.f T.he S.ilence. The vision behind this pursues the mission to have a place where we can bring our life events, our addictions, and our troubles, and we can put all these pieces together. So, when we go back to our daily lives, we can look “dead in the eye” at our obstacles, our enemies, and our hearts and say, “I’m not ready yet, but I was born for this… Let's go”. The blind will always guide the blind, but we refuse to stay blind. We won’t ignore the abuse from cultural and religious movements; the TRUTH will always come out and set us free. We don’t care about your backgrounds, ethnicity, lifestyles, etc., no filters, no shame; we believe that if we ABIDE EN TRUTH to grow some deep R.O.O.T.S., we will see the breakthrough one day.
