The Call of the Wildcat

The wildcat is her guide, her mirror.
She loves cats because they carry a wisdom
That she, too, can embody.
They show her how to live unchained,
How to honor the wild within herself—
To walk through life with ease, grace, and freedom,
Unburdened by demands that do not come from her soul.

In every movement, a cat reveals its brilliance—
Its sharpness, its presence,
Its bright awareness of the world.
There is no excess, no striving, only being:
A quiet mastery of the art of now.

The wildcat knows freedom is not a rebellion,
But a way of living deeply, simply.
It does not long for what it does not have,
But delights in a warm beam of sunlight,
A soft corner to rest in,
And the rhythmic, grounding pulse of its own purr.
In its presence, she sees how to love life as it is,
How to find contentment in simplicity.

And yet, the wildcat embraces its tenderness,
Unashamed of the softness it carries within.
It knows the strength of being gentle,
The quiet dignity of holding the untamed
Without losing its wildness.

🐱Wildcat’s Invocation

Wildcat, let me learn from you,
From the fluid grace of your movements,
And how you bow to no one.
Your softness—ah, your softness—such a treasure.

Teach me to guard my spirit as fiercely as you do,
To bare my claws when life demands it,
But to stretch unarmed,
In the sanctuary of sunlight.

Wildcat, show me the beauty of being free:
To walk alone, yet deeply connected.
To love with open hands,
Without chains, without fear.

I will carry your wisdom in my blood,
Untamable and true.
For I, too, am a creature of the wild.
I, too, am the call of the untamed.

“Dear Human:
You've got it all wrong.

You didn't come here to master unconditional love. This is where you came from and where you'll return.

You came here to learn personal love.
Universal love.
Messy love.
Sweaty Love.
Crazy love.
Broken love.
Whole love.
Infused with divinity.
Lived through the grace of stumbling.
Demonstrated through the beauty of... messing up.
Often.

You didn't come here to be perfect, you already are.

You came here to be gorgeously human. Flawed and fabulous.

And rising again into remembering.

But unconditional love? Stop telling that story.

Love in truth doesn't need any adjectives.
It doesn't require modifiers.
It doesn't require the condition of perfection.

It only asks you to show up.
And do your best.
That you stay present and feel fully.
That you shine and fly and laugh and cry and hurt and heal and fall and get back up and play and work and live and die as YOU.

Its enough.

It's Plenty.”

Though the storm follows and threatens beautiful chaos, the light will always shine. All is refreshed and rejuvenated through both. There is no appreciation for one without the other 💫

“The world does not move through time as if it were a straight line, proceeding from the past to the future. Instead time moves through and within us, in endless spirals. Eternity does not mean infinite time, but simply timelessness.”

Being in the path of totality for the eclipse was phenomenal. The sense of community as everyone gasped at once at the moment of totality, the awe and stillness in the air. The response of the birds, their songs were clear and vibrant as the light and other sounds in the air around us had a muted quality.

This was a moment of personal release as well. Feeling the temperature drop and the light fade in the world as an opportunity to confront our own darkness was given in physical form. The shadow passing and brightness and warmth returning, giving an opportunity to release held breath and bondages and gain new appreciation for the magnificent universe around us.

We welcome the light home 💕

Call me by my true names
Seer, Pythia, Oracle,
Witch and Priestess,
Woman even, for that I am
In the amazing lineage of
Both Lilith and Eve

Call me Crow Daughter,
Owl Woman, Queen of
Myself as I lean into the
Fierceness of An’Morrighan,
And wield Boudicca’s sword

Call me Erishkigal and Inanna
That both/and of dark and light
With wisdom of shedding
All that no long suits or fits
Then Rising in the Shining
Of new and embodied ways

Call me Bridgid as I hold
Wisdom’s flame within
The very being of my heart,
My soul and Her land

Call me Isis Auset as I feel into
The agony of both life and death
Sekhmet even or Bast as my
Feline ways shred the cords
Of patriarchal indoctrination

Call me Wolf as I Howl in
The exuberance of the
Voice of my Being and
That web that is my tribe

Call me by any or all
For I have walked these
Paths, these Leylines
Since the beginning of
Time… that of the land
And that of woman

Call me Nothing and
Call me Everything for it
Matters not your naming
Of one who is older than
The stars, the planets and
Has travelled beyond the
Boundaries of this time

Call me by my true names
Those which have no words
Only the wind’s breeze
And the waters waves
Those that rise with the sun
And dance in the moonlight

For I am that which came first
I am that which comes last
And I will be the Traveller who
Inhabits it all at the end of time

"It will always be difficult for an old soul to satisfy the expectations of the new culture; because as an old soul you will always prefer to fall in love with everything that has a soul too.
You will understand and feel the pain of others, you will be generous, giving nonstop no matter what, you won’t ever follow the crowd but you’ll choose to follow your own path instead.
You will value a deep conversation and a loving hello, you'll always be thankful for the simplest pleasures in life.
And I am a vintage soul, my love, that’s trapped in a young body. An old soul that struggles to fit in this plastic world."

“We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another; unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. The past, present, and future mingle and pull us backward, forward, or fix us in the present. We are made up of layers, cells, constellations.”

“To say that a thing is imaginary is not to dispose of it in the realm of mind, for the imagination, or the image making faculty, is a very important part of our mental functioning. An image formed by the imagination is a reality from the point of view of psychology; it is quite true that it has no physical existence, but are we going to limit reality to that which is material? We shall be far out of our reckoning if we do, for mental images are potent things, and although they do not actually exist on the physical plane, they influence it far more than most people suspect.”

This is a bit different than my normal content, but I have to let you all know about this lady. She's AMAZING! She made this big guy based on pictures from FNAF fan made music videos so my little guy could get a plushie of his favorite version of Bonnie. She does all custom work! The shipping took longer than expected, but with the solid feel and quality of this plush it was well worth the wait! I definitely recommend checking this lady out if you're in the market for any kind of custom plush!
