This is an amazing example of modern studio equipment design that is at once “old” and “new” and much needed. Great recordings have soul and multiple stages of transformers are at the heart of that soul. Use ANY converters with this device and your sounds will have new depth. A recent client and friend passed away recently. George Winston was an innovative and inspired writer and performer who dedicated his life to his music. I bought “December” on CD in the 80s and loved it for it’s emotion and simplicity. I’ve had the privilege of recording new material on the very instrument that “December” was recorded on. George was inspired to play music after hearing The Doors in the 60s. His “Night Divides The Day” record in 2002 was a heartfelt tribute to that inspiration. I am happy to have known him and wish him the best on his continued journey. Rest in peace, George.
