Is Monkeypox our next pandemic? Or something else lying in wait as we become complacent again? During such complicated and turbulent times in our world, it’s natural to put aside thinking about the future, and instead focus only on the present. But it’s critical to ask yourself,

“Are you and your company ready for the next pandemic?”

We are. We are very ready.

I was very proud that SimuLyve International helped the world communicate during the COVID-19 pandemic with sophisticated broadcast technology. We found that so many companies were sincerely and often desperately interested in us helping them create a long term digital broadcast communication plan using our two main solutions, film creation and broadcast technology that can simulate live meetings (similar to television but over the Internet), SimuLyve as we call it, and as our company is named.

But unfortunately, the moment the world declared (incorrectly) that COVID is no longer anything to worry about, many companies (except a few of the most concerned and careful) suddenly lost interest in our plans to protect their future and our world’s future to prepare for the inevitable.

And even prior to the inevitable, it simply makes sense to have a thought out digital strategy as opposed to simply blindly booting up Teams or Zoom and pressing a button in hopes that that will magically recreate the in-person experience.

As we have all leaned, from Teams and Zoom fatigue, it will not. One needs a lot more sophisticated tools for virtual meetings as well as for hybrid meetings that broadcast live events.

Remember, Zoom and Teams are simply “pipes.” It’s what you put down the pipe that creates the communication experience. Television and the movie industry knows that, as do we. We came from that industry and married that technology to medicine, healthcare and pharma.

I urge all companies to take digital broadcast preparedness very seriously. I’d much rather have us help companies proactively to create a plan rather than be called upon during another emergency.

It was, and still is, incredibly gratifying to know that our technology saved lives and kept the world working. I hope we never need to be that needed again, but I’m ready if we are.
