A parent drives their elementary aged children 3-hours every weekend to play in a basketball league, on top of practicing/ playing with a school team 4-days a week.

A theory I have and and not scientifically proven, but we are seeing more injuries AND I feel our sports performance is overdosing on plyometric training yet skipping steps to thoroughly prepare athletes tissues, joints, bones for the excessive volume/intensity. Whatever “Adults” thought it was a good idea to RANK 2nd, 3rd,4th graders and older as “best player in the country” should have all privileges to lead kids immediately revoked.

Talk about setting kids up for failure, anxiety, confusion, ridicule.

All because some selfish adults want to sell the value of their travel program.

People, please start using common sense and stop abusing youth sports!

Stop selling vulnerable parents and players fake dreams.

Start putting out sound development programs which aim to support youth sports and give productive guidance to kids and families.

Adults- you need to be better than that!
