On Tuesday, February 4th, the SCSO with SWAT served a warrant at 4726 McIntosh Rd resulting in the arrest of Jose C Arellano Alvarez, who is suspected of co***ne dealing. Co***ne was found at the residence. After the arrest it was determined that Alvarez is an illegal alien. SCSO contacted ICE officials and will be placing an immigration hold on him pending deportation hearings. Alvarez was also arrested on 1-25-2025 for domestic battery.

Arrested for murder by Sarasota Police.
Detectives of the Sarasota Police Department are currently conducting and investigation into a homicide that occurred yesterday. At approximately 8pm on February 4, 2025, Sarasota Police Patrol officers responded to a residence in the 2200 block of Ringling Blvd. to conduct a welfare check on the resident. After making entry into the home, the officers found the resident, an adult female, deceased. The Sarasota Police Department have charged 41-year-old Djalma Johan Gordon with that murder.
Gordon was subsequently located in West Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where he is currently being detained. Sarasota Police do not believe that this was a random encounter and are confident that there is no threat to the public.
