The last time I was an employee was in the year 1989. May 21, 2018 (Windy Hill Beach, South Carolina) - When I was a boy, I recall hearing a notorious bank robber's simple answer to the question "Why do you rob banks?" He said something like "Because that's where the money is." I thought of that answer tonight when reading about some population and economic trends: "Stretching from Australia to India and China, Asiapac [the Asia Pacific region] is home to half of the world’s population and two of its three biggest economies. By 2025, it will account for more than half of the world’s economic output. Similar trends are evident with growth rates, which range from 5pc to 9pc, compared to the 2pc-3pc global average."

A few years ago, I retired from my nuclear power consulting career and moved from being a few minutes drive to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission's headquarters in Rockville, Maryland to being a few minutes walk to the beach here on the Grand Strand of South Carolina. My nuclear business thrived because what I did was something that few, if any, could replicate. When my wife and I moved to the beach, I didn't intend to start a new business, but I quickly decided that I wanted to help residents of my new hometown to thrive economically in this era of unprecedented opportunity. One of my biggest successes has been introducing folks to network marketing, including multi-level marketing (MLM). There are MLM companies that sell a wide variety of products and services, but the key task in each of them is team-building, and if you're involved in an MLM with global operations, you probably ought to be thinking about your international team-building.

May 20, 2018 (Windy Hill Beach, South Carolina) - Conan O'Brien recently told his audience that "Billionaire Warren Buffett called Bitcoin 'rat poison'. Which is an unfair comparison because people actually understand how rat poison works."

sbs comment: In all fairness to Mr. Buffett, I note that the rats don't know that rat poison will kill them. I disagree with Buffet's apparent take on cryptocurrency, although its true enough that Bitcoin might plummet and not recover. But as best I can tell, that would only occur if another cryptocurrency takes Bitcoin's place as the most popular cryptocurrency. I've personally mined over a million cryptocurrency coins, and there's a couple of alt-coins that I think are well-positioned to supplant Bitcoin as the de facto reserve currency in the cryptocurrency markets, and I fully expect a cryptocurrency to supplant the US Dollar as the global reserve currency too.

May 20, 2018 (Windy Hill Beach, South Carolina) -- A group of success partners started our Tuesday noon meetings here in North Myrtle Beach in March 2016 and we've had a Tuesday noon meeting every Tuesday since then. Dr. Bob Matthews and I are attending the iPro Network Group's "Thrive" event in Las Vegas, and we arranged our flights so we'd leave here after next Tuesday's meeting and be back in time for the first Tuesday meeting in June. We did the same kind of scheduling when we drove to the last iPro Network corporate event in Nashville last October. There have been many weeks that the only time I've gone to my office is to attend these meetings. New success partners typically call once to verify that tomorrow's or today's meeting is a go. It's a pleasure to talk with them, and I always emphasize that these meetings are such a vital part of our local team's success that we always ensure that at least one leader will always be there to host the meeting.
