ALMOST GOT ME!!🌊🌊 WATCH as storm surge almost wipes us out as Super Typhoon UwanPH made its way into the Philippines. Water slams down the stairwell from the second floor causing me to grab the railing. This was the first of many bigger pushes.

Earlier, we wrote about Josh Morgerman, the American storm chaser who arrived from Jamaica after covering Hurricane Melissa. But he wasn’t alone.

James Reynolds, a British storm chaser and founder of Earth Uncut TV, also flew in to document the storm from the shores of Baler, Aurora. And joining them was Jordan Hall, an American multimedia journalist and storm chaser who described his experience in Baler as the “scariest moment” of his life.

All three are among the most respected in their field — known for chasing, recording, and analyzing the world’s most powerful cyclones. Their presence in the Philippines highlights how our country, sitting along the Pacific typhoon belt, remains both vulnerable and vital to global weather and climate research.

Now that Uwan has passed and the skies have calmed, let’s give credit where it’s due. These men help us see storms not just as disasters — but as data, stories, and lessons for survival.

📸 Follow their work:

Because when the winds die down, their stories help the world understand what we’ve just survived.
