1. Any four-on-the-floor style is accepted. Other genres will not be considered.
2. Unfinished demos will not even be listened to. Please do not submit a 'work in progress' track.
3. Unmastered tracks are fine. We will master the track for you if considered for the label.

TONALTHEORY

Tomorrow, August 30th, marks the release of Inergy Records' latest addition to its catalog with JarboTek's 'Brimstone EP' (https://www.beatport.com/label/inergy-records/30439). On remix duty is the phenomenal Washington DC based duo TonalTheory and we are are ecstatic to have them lend their studio prowess to Inergy's latest project. Inergy Records's last release, Paul Atreides' hard driving EP 'Phantoms' (https://www.beatport.com/release/phantoms-ep/3439451) really let loose the power of get-you-moving-on-the-dance-floor dark techno and TonalTheory brought us a fantastic remix. For the 'Brimstone EP' JarboTek asked us if we could have them on the release and we didn't hesitate. With a stellar output and amazing detailed production skills, TonalTheory is a techno duo that you don't want to miss. TonalTheory [Marissa and Rae] has been signified by bending boundaries between hard-hitting techno elements, mesmerizing synths and atmospheric melodies. They strive to merge the worlds as they incorporate their classical background into their newer productions as they continue to develop their sounds and conquer the unexpected rollercoaster of emotions as it captures the story of “Where we were, where we are, and where we want to be.”

They have played support for some of the biggest names in the industry of both techno and trance alike including Dubfire, Alan Fitzpatrick, Nicole Moudaber, Green Velvet, Laidback Luke, Sharam, Victor Calderone, John Askew, Greg Downey, David Rust & Fehrplay. The duo also are label owners of Undertone on the east coast which focuses on techno and bending genre lines. They are Synthesis residents and host monthly parties for up and coming talent of underground music as Decibel Collective.

JarboTek

On August 30th, Inergy Records will release its next imprint, 'Brimstone EP’, as a two week promotion on Beatport. We are super excited to pass the techno baton on to an up and coming, talented producer, Kevin Jarboe, aka JarboTek.

Kevin was born and raised in Washington D.C. and was inspired by all things music at an early age. He expressed interest in the saxophone and eventually found his path with other instruments. It wasn’t until his later years that he began to explore different types of musical genres. The dark, crunchy, raw sound of post-punk inspired him to continue his interest in other instruments like guitar and bass. With the confidence in such a no-holds-barred genre of music he assumed vocal duties performing in several hardcore groups.

Over the years EDM became king and it was only natural that JarboTek find his second home in the dark, synth heavy rumbliness of techno music. DJing was another outlet that gave him the chance to play the songs he loved. The hard driving edge that metal music provided for him for years eventually became the springboard for JarboTek’s production style. This gave him the ability to release tracks officially on national and worldwide mp3 platforms.

In 2019 JarboTek’s production efforts saw the light of day with his release, ‘Twisting Waveforms’ on Funktrap records. With remix assistance by future Inergy artist, Paul Atreides and Baltimore, MD based Micfreak, ‘Twisting Waveforms’ (https://www.beatport.com/release/twisting-waveforms/2475188) put JarboTek on the map leaving his mark as a worthy techno producer. The Northern Virginia/Washington D.C. techno community was supportive of his efforts and word began to spread about his abilities to create intense original music from the ground up. It wasn’t long before Inergy Records caught wind of this and was sent links to his prolific body of unreleased work. We got in touch with JarboTek and offered an opportunity to contribute a remix to Paul Atreides’ phenomenal 2021 Inergy release, ‘Phantoms EP’ (https://www.beatport.com/release/phantoms-ep/3439451). We were very impressed with his efforts and asked him this year to submit an original track for consideration for our label.

We are proud to release Jarbo Tek’s newest track, “Brimstone EP” complete with a hard driving, peak-hour style groove, so get ready for a wild ride! Rounding out this three track release is Washington D.C. based techno producer group, TonalTheory and Inergy founder Plateau contributing a more hard-trance style remix.

Inergy Records is excited to have as their newest producer on the roster, the talented Amsterdam based artist Sick Boy. With an extensive background in punk and hardcore, Sick Boy has been a pioneer in hard edged electronic music for many years now. With production credits ranging from collaborations with Steve Aoki, and having shared the stage with the Bloody Beetroots and Crystal Castles, he has also performed at festivals such as South By Southwest, Dance Valley, and Love Parade in San Francisco. He is a multi-talented producer that ranges from organic instrumental music to crunchy, synth driven, hard electro.

Our next release in our catalog is a four track EP that features superbly crafted electro with nostalgic elements of New Order and Depeche Mode. We are ecstatic to have on board the one and only SICK BOY with his upcoming release ‘We Control The Night EP’. Producing and DJing under several monikers over the years, Paul Atreides is an artist not to miss. He is perfectionist and strives to find the perfect sound in his music. I am grateful to have known him for nearly two decades and I have seen his production skills blossom and become something of a force to be reckoned with. With residencies at The Granby Theater, Central 111, and Flash in Washington DC Paul is a true musician's musician.

PAUL ATREIDES (BLACK KAT | NAKED LUNCH | TOXIC RECORDINGS | FUNKTRAP | INERGY RECORDS)

Paul Atreides is an American born Techno producer and DJ. In 1999 he bought a pair of Technic turntables and within the years that followed, played all over the US under various Aliases. By 2003 Paul was playing his own bootlegs using an American DJ Pro DJ 1, as well as frequently using 3 turntables and a BOSS DR-202 drum machine. He dabbled with production for a bit, but never took it seriously until 2007 when he had a gig in Ibiza, Spain and the DJs there were playing mostly their own music. It was from this point on that Paul found his true passion. His thirst for knowledge, and the path he’s taken, has led him to creating dark, driving Techno.

For the next four weeks Inergy Records will be featuring one artist to showcase for our INERGY ARTIST SPOTLIGHT. Each of the four producers have contributed to the second part of ‘The Ciconte Remixes’ EP which is set to be released on Beatport on 2/6/21. Part 1 was released in October 2020. It has been a close knit global project since last summer with artists from Europe and the U.S. contributing their own take on Eikkon’s thought provoking and deep progressive track, ‘Ciconte’. The track was named after DJ/producer Robert Ciconte who unexpectedly passed away last year. He was known throughout the Northern VA/DC EDM scene and also was a friend to many. As a token of gratitude, Inergy Records worked with Eikkon's great musical ideas and assisted with engineering and production. It was renamed ‘Ciconte’ to honor Robert's memory. Once the track was released myself and a host of other producers came together to put their own signature sound on what the original track had to offer. Because of so many producers offering their time and talent, we decided to do it as a two-part release!

For ‘Ciconte: The Remixes, Part 2” EP, Inergy Records is featuring for this week a brilliant drum and bass producer and DJ from Washington DC. She has made waves with her pursuit of all things drum and bass and has performed at such legendary venues as Fabric and has contributed live sets for Andy C's RAM Recordings. Back home in the states Nvrsoft has released tracks on labels such as Audioporn and YANA Music.

When Inergy Records was approached and asked to feature a drum and bass remix there was some initial skepticism. Although Inergy Records is mostly a four-on-the-floor dance label we decided to give it a chance and based on the recommendation from another Inergy Records remix artist we learned about Nvrsoft and decided to let her have a go at it. We are so glad we gave her the chance. Her remix is superb and it kicks off the second installment of the 'Ciconte' remix EP. Keeping open lines of communication with her throughout the production process, Nvrsoft showed to us that she has poise and grace and has proven that she is quite talented behind the production desk.

HAPPY 2021 EVERYONE! It's already off to a good start for inergy Records! We will releasing the second installment of the 'Ciconte: The Remixes' EP on Beatport for an EXCLUSIVE two week promotion beginning on 2/6/21 and then on 2/20/21 it goes worldwide.

For the second installment we spread our wings and asked two drum and bass producers to put their own spin on the original track written by DJ Eikkon. We also have techno and electro house styles to round out the genres. More details soon to come! AND... we will be doing a weekly artist spotlight every Tuesday for the next four weeks.
