You started your business with approach A, you saw someone doing approach B, you tried but it didn’t work, so you tried approach C… Before long, even YOU were confused as to what your business does to help your customers. ‌ I DID EXACTLY THAT and felt so frustrated UNTIL I found my clear message, then I felt HOPE again. Get out a piece of paper (seriously) and answer these 5 questions: ‌ At the end you’ll be able to clearly complete this sentence: ‌ I help _____(WHO) with what_____ (THE PROBLEM ARE YOU SOLVING) through_____ (YOUR PRODUCT/SERVICE/THEIR DREAM OUTCOME) ‌ 1️⃣ What are you passionate or knowledgeable about? Sports, fitness? (THIS IS YOUR NICHE) ‌ 2️⃣ What problem within that niche does your business solve? Broken relationships, bad health, financial stress? (THIS IS THE FOUCS OF YOUR CONTENT & PRODUCTS) ‌ 3️⃣ Who are the people you want to help? Who has the problem you are solving? Menopausal moms, athletes, business owners? (THIS IS YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE) ‌ 4️⃣ How can you get your help to the people you want it? “How-to” eBook guides, newsletters, courses? (THIS IS YOUR SOLUTION) ‌ 5️⃣ What is the dream outcome of the people your people? Lose 10 lbs, make vacation money? For example, my husband sells plumbing supplies to builders. They need toilets, he solves their problem by selling them toilets. ‌ Same for us in the digital space. Your customer may want to build an online business, but they don’t know how. Your product solves their problem by showing them exactly how. You make money by providing products that solve their problem. ‌ TWO STREAMS OF DIGITAL MARKETING INCOME: 1️⃣ Selling a product you purchased with a license agreement that you can resell it as your own for 100% profit. A great example, and the one that started it all, is the course I offer, The Roadmap 3.0. You can find it here. Write down so when things get cloudy, you can go back and find YOUR what, why and who. ‌ There are lessons within the Roadmap Course that go into this deeply, but for now start with this. Take out a piece of paper & write down your answers to these questions: ‌ 1️⃣ WHAT are you interested in? What do you have experience with? What do your friends come to you for advice on? This becomes your NICHE. 💯 WRITE IT DOWN. ‌ 2️⃣ WHO would you love to help with what you know? Who do you want to talk to and help with your business? Who comes to your for advice about it? This becomes your TARGET AUDIENCE. 💯 WRITE IT DOWN. ‌ Fill in these blanks: ‌ I want to help_______with_______through_________. 💯 WRITE IT DOWN. ‌ Two examples: I want to help women lose their menopausal weight gain through a weekly training program. I want to help stay at home women make money online through selling digital products. ‌ Then fill in these blanks: “The business I want to be in is _______” - THIS IS YOUR NICHE. “The people I want to help are____________” _ THIS IS YOUR TARGET AUDIENCE ‌ WRITE IT DOWN. Tape it to the wall, Put in your “Important stuff” file. Change it as you develop your business, but this is your HEART talking before you get into the online noise. So trust it when the noise gets too loud. Don’t stress, these are your first baby steps. ‌ You’ll always find education on my page. #3 IN CAPTION 👇 ‌ First, SAVE this one for sure because if it hasn’t happened it will and you’ll need this easy solution! ‌ Hi, 👋 I’m Karin, The Marketer Mom, follow @marketermom_karin where I cut through the noise to get you on your way to making money online. ‌ Issues 1, 2 AND 3 solved. These have worked for me every time. ‌ ❌ Issue #1 - Your caption won’t cut and paste from your note, or an app (like Trello) that you use to write your captions. 99% of the time it is because your caption is too long. You have a 2,200 limit which includes spaces and line spaces) which can go pretty quick! ✅ Solution #1 - Shorten your caption and try again. There’s a great, free add-on for Chrome called MaxAI.me that will shorten, improve, etc any text. Check that out. ‌ ❌ Issue #2 - Your on screen caption shows up when editing but disappears when you post. ✅ Solutions #2 - When on the edit screen, select EDIT COVER. Find the scroll bar located below your reel. Scroll all the way through it. If the text isn’t there, it won’t be there when you post. SAVE IT TO DRAFT & CLOSE INSTAGRAM. Go back into your reel and check again. ‌ ❌ Issue #3 - You’ve edited a talking head reel and want to caption your audio. You select the caption sticker in stickers but IG tells you “No caption found”. ✅ Solution #3 - When on the edit screen, look at the top row and find the arrow down. Save the reel to your PHONE. Start a new reel by selecting camera, and find the reel you just saved. Select the captions sticker again, and they should transcribe. ‌ Happy reeling!
