As a lifelong swimmer, she is also the Junior Royal 3 Head Coach at Southeastern Swim Club, where two of her Scouts, including her daughter, are competitive swimmers. Nathan Warnecke is first Hoosier to be named National High School Track & Field Boys Coach of the Year. The Fishers boys track and field team claimed its first-ever state title in June at Indiana University. Early this week, Warnecke received another honor: he was named the National High School Track & Field Boys Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. ⬇️

This week, INDOT announced it is launching a Safe Zones Pilot Program to improve work zone safety.
The state plans to begin using camera technology the current Interstate 70 construction zone in Hancock County from mile markers 95 to 105. There will be warnings given initially and additional work sites will be added over time. Indiana law allows INDOT to deploy up to cameras at up to four sites at any given time. Following a public RFP process, City of Fishers staff presented their recommendation of support for a city-wide trash contract with Republic Services Tuesday morning during the bimonthly Board of Public Works meeting. The Board cited Republic’s competitive rates, long-standing presence in central Indiana, and familiarity with the Fishers market, where it currently serves nearly 60 percent of Fishers residents. The proposed 10-year contract would go into effect in January 2025. ⬇️
