Who is Sye Young

Over the last 9 years, I have enjoyed being a co-owner of The DJ Firm. It has really given me a fresh outlook on life, I was put on this earth to bring joy to others. We have had opportunities to work with different clients from different walks of life and I love learning about other people's culture.

Over the years I have picked up a few new hobbies. In my free time I love to watch cooking shows and try new recipes with my daughter. Music has been a part of my life ever since I was a child. The genres of music I enjoy listening to are reggae, hip-hop, and early 2000 music with a splash of country music. In a unique way, nightlife exposed me to the event industry, so I wanted to bring the excitement of a nightlife DJ to different types of events. Overall, It’s really important to me that all our clients are satisfied.

Fun Fact: Not a lot of people know this about me, but I was born in Jamaica. My favorite type of food is seafood.

Ben Elliott is a producer and DJ based in Chicago. Inspired by many genres of music; pop, indie, EDM, film scores, and many others, Ben’s personal music style is mostly club and festival oriented, with a hint of emotion in the melodies. He has always been drawn to the arts, but it wasn’t until he went to his first festival that he decided to make a career out of his love for music.

DJ Mayhem is one of those singular "work-hard-play-hard" types who's never been known to shy away from a good challenge. By the time he was 21, he was performing at some of Chicago's premier nightclubs with his signature fusion of Latin, House, Funk, Rock, Electro, & Hip-hop. Through his genre-bending sets, he's built a following of partygoers and music lovers who have witnessed Mayhem firsthand. Mayhem has quickly shown what it means to be a real Open-Format DJ, from playing Chicago's hottest nightclubs to rocking out high-end private events.

Dj Zel has always had a profound love for music, this love began when she was a young dancer performing and watching videos on VH1 and MTV. Dj Zel fell in love with all types of genres but was specifically drawn to the b96 mixmasters and was heavily influenced in the hip hop and the r&b genre!
