While Gene Simmons has visited the area numerous times throughout the years — most recently in Buffalo in 2020 and Niagara Falls in 2017 — Monday night’s performance in NT was his first with his solo band. It was also their only scheduled performance in North America this year.

Simmons of the Grammy-nominated band KISS stopped by the Niagara Falls Boulevard Tops store to surprise a lucky fan — Wayne Altemoos of Olcott who was presented with an autographed plaque commemorating the sale of the one-millionth bottle of MoneyBag Sodas, which was sold at Tops.

Downtown Niagara Falls was treated to a mini airshow Monday afternoon as members of the Italian Air Force demonstration team, according to RobShots, made several flyovers. He says they’re on their way to Trenton, Ont., for an airshow this weekend.
