Pro-Palestine protestors relocated from the Great Lawn at Christopher Newport University to Warwick Boulevard after being told they would be arrested if they demonstrated on campus.
They join the chorus of pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses across the country this week as tensions over the United States’ ongoing role in Israel’s assault on Gaza intensified.

Virginia Beach Navy veteran describes Vietnam War
Retired Master Chief Gerald "Jerry" Gandy served as captain of a river patrol boat in the Vietnam War for about 10 months before an injury ended his time there. The attack that injured Gandy also killed a Vietnamese soldier on the boat.
Day 3 of the Something in the Water festival delayed because of weather
Sunday is the third and final day of the Something in the Water festival. Doors were scheduled to open around 1 p.m., but the festival has been in a weather delay since about 11 a.m.

Retired Air Force dad Rolland Holland, also known as "Cheer Dad," performs in sync with his daughter Mackenzi's York High School cheer squad as the marching band plays the school fight song following each York touchdown on Friday nights.
